博多キャンパス10期を定員満員にて開講しました。梅雨明けの晴天ながら連日猛暑のなか、熱中症と新型コロナウィルス感染拡大にも細心の注意を払いながら、一人の体調不良者を出すことなく開講できました。ドローン大学校の実技実習はほとんどが屋外での行うため、真夏･真冬は厳しい実技実習となりますが、高温になるバッテリーの管理や低温により起こる低電圧などへの対応など実践的なスキルを得ることができるので、厳しいながら充実した教習を行うことができました。

Most of the practical training at Drone University is conducted outdoors, so it will be a tough practical training in midsummer and midwinter, but you will acquire practical skills such as managing batteries that get hot and dealing with low voltage caused by low temperatures. コロナウィルスの感染拡大と熱中症の2つに細心の注意をして、瀬戸内キャンパス14期を予定通り開催しました。若手プロカメラマンも含め、大勢の入校生を迎え入れ、今回も賑やかな開講となりました。

ドローン大学校修了生らで構成するオンラインサロン ドローン大学院で「FPV&空撮合宿＠白馬 2021」を開催しました。高速で飛行可能な機体を飛行できる場所としてスキー場ゲレンデを貸切り、時速140kmで飛行するFPV機の飛行を経験していただきました。また360°空撮動画の撮影なども同時に行い、広大なスペースを利用した大規模な空撮経験会となりました。

日本で初めての本格的な民間ドローン専門展示会＆コンファレンスの単独イベント「Japan Drone 2021」に今年もドローン大学校がブースを出展しました。ブース内セミナーでは、どのように現行の航空法が来年変わっていくかというところをわかりやすく解説、そして今後法改正があったのちにどのようにビジネスを始めたらいいかということをテーマに講義を行いました。また、200g未満の機体について指導をするまったく新しいカタチのスクール「空撮教室」の紹介も行いました。
